Lord Rama was  born to the king Lord Dasharatha and queen Kausalya of Ayodhya.Srirama Navami also marks the begining of summer because the sun starts moving nearer to the northen hemisphere.Ram is also known as Raghupathi ,Raghunatha and the prefix 'Raghu' refers to sun.The day begins with the prayers dedicated to sun.It is celebrated with the Procession of Ram nomi ,in which people are dressed as Lord Ram ,Sita ,Laxman,and Hanuman whaere as others follow them dressed like Ram's soldiers .Lord Ram is seventh incarnation of Lord vishnu and is Known as the GOD of peace and prosperity.Lord Sita is the idol for all girls .
